The CDSBEO is hiring an Indigenous Education Consultant for a permanent term in the Western Region. This position plays a pivotal role in enhancing Indigenous student learning experiences, with responsibilities that include professional development and the establishment of culturally affirming spaces. Your expertise will support K to 12 education, addressing literacy, numeracy, and Indigenous perspectives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Mentor Indigenous students to facilitate their success
• Coordinate initiatives to promote Indigenous Education
• Provide job-embedded support for teachers




• Collaborate with various educational departments
• Facilitate cultural awareness programs across schools

Requirements:
• Valid Ontario College of Teachers Certification
• Experience in Primary or Junior and Intermediate divisions
• Solid communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Background in Indigenous Education initiatives
• Familiarity with First Nations, Métis, and Inuit perspectives recommended
