Support the Halifax Regional Centre for Education as a Custodian during evening hours. This role is essential for maintaining clean and sanitary school facilities for students and staff.
The Custodian contributes to the effective operation of the Operations Services Department by ensuring that school buildings are clean and well-kept. You will engage in cleaning and maintenance, working in a safe manner under the guidelines of the Department. Reporting to the Caretaker, you will follow directives from the Building Management Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform thorough cleaning of school buildings daily
• Execute maintenance duties in a secure manner
• Maintain a sanitary and appealing school environment




• Adhere to departmental policies and procedures
• Work alongside the Caretaker and Building Management Supervisor
Requirements:
• Hold a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs for various duties
• Basic computer literacy for necessary reporting
• Availability to work varying shift schedules
• Experience in janitorial roles is an asset
