Make a difference as a full time FASD Mentor at NCN Family & Community Wellness Centre Inc. in Nelson House. This role is dedicated to supporting women struggling with addictions and FASD.
Within the FASD Mentoring Program, you will work closely with clients under the Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Coordinator's supervision. Your focus will be on advocating for pregnant women, helping them create action plans, and guiding them in achieving healthy lifestyle choices. Contributing to mentorship planning and evaluation ensures that each client receives tailored support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide emotional support during the mentorship
• Advocate for healthier family environments
• Develop plans that promote positive client change
• Assess and evaluate progress regularly
• Connect clients with essential community services
Requirements:
• Valid Manitoba Driver's Licence
• CPR and First Aid Certification
• Strong communication abilities
• Understanding of community programming
• Experience with FASD is a plus
Support women through empowerment and education as a mentor in Nelson House.
