Essential Functions:
- Provide ABA therapy in individual and group settings.
- Full time provider: 20-25 hours of direct service, 10-15 hours indirect hours
- Treatment planning is limited to 20% of total direct service hours and is split between team lead and the supervising BCBA.
- Attend monthly team meetings with family, supervisor and ABA team (1 hour/month).
- Attend monthly team lead meetings (1 hour/month) with supervisor and ABA team (if applicable).
- Prepare agenda and lead team meetings under the supervision of the BCBA Supervisor and/or Clinical Director as requested.
- Implement BIPs as written and directed by the BCBA Supervisor.
- Collect and graph data as instructed.
- Assist with conducting assessments under the supervision of the BCBA Supervisor and/or Clinical Director
- Assist with treatment plans under the supervision of the BCBA Supervisor and/or Clinical Director
- Assist with ABA program and BIPS changes under the supervision of the BCBA Supervisor and/or Clinical Director
- Assist with leading family training meetings under the supervision of the BCBA Supervisor and/or Clinical Director and/or Director of Family Training.
- Attend supervision meetings as needed.
- Meet with BCBA Supervisor weekly or bi-weekly to discuss client programming.
- Maintain respect and confidentiality, and protect the well being of all clients.
- Maintain client confidentiality.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge.
- Attend educational workshops.
- Review qualified publications.
- Establish personal networks.
- Maintain a dependable means of transportation.
- Adhere to the mission, vision, and values of AT-LBA
Required Education And Experience:
- Active enrollment in or competition of a masters degree in ABA or a related field
- A limited permit-LBA or CBAA from NYSED
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of ABA technology.
- A minimum of two years of experience working within the field of ABA.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position may be a full-time (35 hours per week) or part-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, hours will fluctuate based on workload and client availability.
Work Environment And Physical Demands
- Ability to work at a desk, conference table or in meetings of various configurations.
- Ability to stand and circulate for extended periods of time.
- Ability to see for purposes of reading laws and codes, rules and policies, and other printed matter and observing students.
- Ability to hear and understand speech at normal speech levels, in the English language.
- Ability to communicate so others will be able to clearly understand normal conversation.
- Ability to navigate teleconferencing technology
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Moderate to high stress levels.
- Work fluctuates between your home office and the client’s home and/or school environment
- Regular contact with parents, community members and outside agency personnel.
- Hazards: Incumbent may be exposed to contact with individuals displaying physically aggressive or self-injurious behavior.
Travel
This position may require travel between the incumbent’s home, the AT-LBA office and/or the client’s school and/or home. Travel may occur within the 5 boroughs of New York City, Westchester County, The Hudson Valley and/or Long Island.
