Become a Technician for Hydrological Studies with the Global Water Futures Observatories in Canmore. Engage in fieldwork, equipment maintenance, and data management related to mountain hydrology. As a key member of the GWFO team, you will conduct field measurements, manage data, and maintain equipment across various high-altitude sites.
This position requires sturdy physical condition for outdoor work and some overnight travel. You'll ensure safety in often challenging environments and actively participate in long-term monitoring of Canada's water resources. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hydrometeorological field measurements
- Maintain lab and field data systems
- Archive and analyze environmental data
- Provide support for training in safety techniques
- Manage logistics for protected field operations Requirements:
- BSc or higher in environmental sciences or hydrology
- Proven experience in hydrometeorological fieldwork
- Knowledge in equipment maintenance and data processes
- Competent with mountain travel and wilderness conditions
- Active First Aid and CPR certification Leverage your expertise in hydrology to influence critical water management research at GWFO.
