We're searching for a Senior Benefits Associate. Are you searching for new possibilities?

Westland Insurance Group Ltd. is growing, and we're looking for a collaborative and detail-oriented professional to join our Group Benefits division as a Senior Benefits Associate at our office in Mississauga, ON. In this role, you will support the day-to-day administration and maintenance of group benefits clients, work closely with Benefits Advisors, and provide training and coaching to junior team members while delivering exceptional client service. This role will be hybrid.

Expected Compensation: The expected hiring range for this role is $49,600 to $62,000 based on a 37.5-hour work week. Actual offered salary will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, as well as market conditions for the role, and internal equity.

Why we’ll love You:

- 2-3 years of experience in a Benefits Associate or similar role
- Experience supporting group life, health, dental, and pension plans
- Strong administrative, organizational, and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Powepoint
- Post-secondary education or insurance industry experience is an asset

Once here, you'll:

- Support Senior Benefits Consultants and advisors with client service, renewals, and administrative activities

- Act as a liaison between clients, advisors, and insurance carriers to respond to inquiries and resolve issues

- Manage the day-to-day administration and maintenance of group benefits client accounts
- Coordinate group benefit renewals, client documentation, signatures, and submissions

- Prepare presentations, reports, and other client-facing materials using Excel and PowerPoint

- Support market reviews, carrier comparisons, and Individual Life, Health & Dental quoting activities

- Train and coach new team members while supporting compliance and licensing activities
