Job Description:

We are looking for an SAP Finance Functional Lead to join a Manufacturing client for a Contract role in Toronto, Ontario. This position will work closely with project leadership and business stakeholders to strengthen finance-related processes, support functional analysis activities, and help align business needs with SAP S/4HANA capabilities. The successful candidate will bring strong SAP finance expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to guide users through documentation, testing, and classroom-based training.

Responsibilities:

- Partner with project leaders, internal team members, and external consultants to support finance-focused functional analysis across the engagement.

- Serve as the primary Finance business liaison between internal teams and external integration partner, translating business needs into actionable requirements, decisions, issues, and readiness activities.

- Gather, clarify, and document business processes and standard operating procedures to create clear, formal process records for stakeholders.

- Translate business needs into functional guidance by ensuring requirements are well understood and aligned with the SAP implementation approach.

- Review existing reference materials and internal documentation to identify gaps, refine process details, and support consistent execution.

- Demonstrated ability to document workflow processes and departmental SOPs in a structured and practical manner.





- Deliver training sessions and communicate complex information in a way that suits different audiences and levels of understanding.

- Support testing activities using designated testing tools and help coordinate validation of finance-related processes and system outcomes.

- Build strong working relationships across the project team by listening carefully, adapting messaging, and responding effectively to stakeholder concerns.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.

- 5+ years of experience in Finance, SAP Finance, or Finance Transformation roles.

- Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations or enhancements.

- Strong knowledge of financial processes including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Treasury and Financial Reporting.

- Hands-on experience working with SAP in a functional finance capacity.

- Solid knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, particularly within finance-related processes.

- Experience working across SAP modules, with primary focus on finance and related business functions.

- Strong communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to deliver classroom training.

- Proven ability to work collaboratively with project managers, business users, and implementation partners in a project environment.
