Position: Senior UX Researcher

Duration: 6 Months assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite/Hybrid: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior UX Researcher to support and deliver Customer Experience (CX), User Experience (UX), Service Design, and user-centred digital transformation activities within a complex, highly regulated healthcare environment.

The successful consultant will work with CX/UX leadership and collaborate with product, business, clinical, technical, vendor, communications, and change management teams to gather qualitative and quantitative insights, validate complex workflows, and translate research findings into practical, accessible, user-centred digital experiences.

Scope

Plan and execute end-to-end CX/UX research, including research planning, participant recruitment, interviews, usability testing, surveys, heuristic evaluations, and secondary research.

Develop research objectives, methodologies, participant criteria, screeners, schedules, discussion guides, consent/privacy materials, and related research documentation.

Analyze qualitative and quantitative findings and translate them into prioritized, actionable insights,



pain points, risks, opportunities, and recommendations.

Assignment Deliverables

Develop and execute comprehensive UX/CX research plans, including research objectives, methodology, participant criteria, recruitment inputs, interview guides, screeners, and validation plans.

Conduct user interviews, usability testing, heuristic evaluations, surveys, accessibility reviews, and secondary research.

Synthesize qualitative and quantitative research into actionable findings, prioritized recommendations, pain points, risks, and experience opportunities.

Develop personas, journey maps, service blueprints, ecosystem maps, user flows, task flows, and current/future-state workflows.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

7+ years of end-to-end UX/CX research experience, including research planning, participant recruitment, user interviews, usability testing, heuristic evaluations, synthesis, and delivery of actionable recommendations.

7+ years of experience in inclusive UX/UI and Service Design for complex digital products, translating research and requirements into user flows, journey maps, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity accessible designs.





5+ years of cross-functional delivery experience within complex or highly regulated environments, collaborating with product, clinical, business, technical, vendor, change management, and communications stakeholders.

Strong hands-on experience developing research plans, participant criteria, screeners, discussion guides, consent/privacy materials, schedules, and participant recruitment activities.

Nice to Have:

Experience delivering UX/CX initiatives within digital health, healthcare, public sector, or other highly regulated environments.

Familiarity with healthcare-provider workflows, clinical environments, or digital health solutions.
