Position: Senior Project Manager / Leader

Duration: 6 Months assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Leader to provide leadership and project management expertise for large-scale, high-profile, and high-risk Information & Information Technology (I⁢) initiatives within a complex public sector environment.

The successful consultant will be responsible for leading end-to-end project delivery, ensuring project outcomes align with business objectives, budget constraints, compliance requirements, and established project management methodologies. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement, executive-level communication skills, risk management expertise, and experience managing complex enterprise technology initiatives.

Scope

Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource strategies.

Ensure project deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

Coordinate cross-functional teams, consultants, vendors, and stakeholders.

Monitor project performance, costs, risks, issues, dependencies, and milestones.

Assignment Deliverables

Comprehensive project charter, project management plan, and public sector framework.

Detailed project schedules, resource plans, and implementation roadmaps.

Risk, issue, dependency,



and change management registers.

Budget forecasts, financial reports, reconciliations, and status reporting.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

Extensive experience managing large-scale, complex, high-risk I⁢ projects.

Demonstrated experience developing and managing project schedules, scope, budgets, and deliverables.

Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams, including consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Strong knowledge of project governance, risk management, issue management, and change management practices.

Experience monitoring project costs, forecasting budgets, and maintaining fiscal accountability.

Nice to Have:

Knowledge of Information Management principles, policies, and practices.

Awareness of emerging I⁢ trends, tools, and delivery methodologies.

Experience supporting software, hardware, and technology acquisition initiatives.
