We’re looking for an energetic and guest-focused Breakfast & Banquets Supervisor to join our team at DoubleTree by Hilton Downtown Ottawa.

This is a dynamic hospitality role with the best of both worlds: welcoming guests as they start their day at breakfast and helping create memorable experiences through our banquets and events.

Breakfast Starts With You

Our breakfast service sets the tone for the day, and you’ll be right at the centre of it.

You’ll lead the team through busy morning service, making sure guests receive warm, attentive service from the moment they arrive. From keeping the room running smoothly to supporting the team through the morning rush, you’ll help make sure every guest gets their day off to a great start.

Then It’s Time to Bring the Events to Life

When the breakfast service wraps up, the pace changes—and that’s where our banquet operation comes in.

You’ll help lead the team through meetings, celebrations, conferences, weddings, and special events, ensuring everything comes together seamlessly. You’ll be hands-on, visible and ready to jump in wherever you’re needed.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Supervise and motivate the breakfast and banquet teams.
- Lead by example and deliver exceptional guest service.
- Oversee breakfast service, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
- Assist with the setup, execution and breakdown of banquets and events.
- Coordinate with culinary,



event and hotel teams to ensure everything runs seamlessly.
- Ensure rooms, tables, buffets and event spaces are presented to a high standard.
- Coach and support team members throughout service.
- Handle guest requests and resolve service issues with confidence and professionalism.
- Help manage busy service periods while keeping the team organized, positive and focused.
- Support opening, closing and daily operational procedures.
- Help create memorable experiences for both hotel guests and event attendees.

What We’re Looking For

- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurants, hotels or banquets.
- Supervisory or leadership experience is an asset.
- Someone who genuinely enjoys working with people.
- A confident, positive leader who isn't afraid to get hands-on.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- The ability to stay calm, flexible and solutions-focused when things get busy.
- A strong eye for detail and pride in presentation.
- Availability for early morning breakfast shifts as well as banquet/event schedules, including weekends and holidays as required.
