We are seeking a Service Technician III (G2 Gas Technician / Gasfitter) to join our team in Charlottetown, PE. Reporting directly to the District Manager, you will be responsible for the installation, service, repair, inspection, and maintenance of residential and commercial propane and natural gas equipment under 400,000 BTUs.

What You'll Do

- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and service residential and commercial propane and natural gas equipment.




- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service on propane tanks, gas appliances, heating equipment, and fuel systems.
- Conduct propane dispenser inspections and cylinder requalification.
- Install, relocate, inspect, and service propane tanks and related equipment.
- Safely operate crane trucks and service vehicles for installations, relocations, and pickups.
- Maintain service vehicle inventory, equipment, parts, and materials.
- Complete customer documentation, payment collection, and electronic work orders using onboard technology.
- Apply lockout procedures for unsafe customer installations.
- Conduct vehicle, site, tank, and safety inspections while maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with dispatch, service coordinators, and management to ensure effective routing and customer service.
- Identify opportunities to promote propane, natural gas, HVAC, and related service solutions.
- Mentor and provide guidance to apprentice technicians and junior service technicians.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and build strong customer relationships.

Qualifications
Required

- G2 Gas Technician License (or equivalent Provincial Gas Certification).
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Gas Technician, Gasfitter, HVAC Technician, Propane Technician, or related field service role.
- Strong knowledge of propane systems, natural gas appliances,



gas piping, and equipment operation.
- Knowledge of CSA B149 Gas Code.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
- Commercial driving experience preferred.
- WHMIS and TDG certification.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment regularly.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
- Comfortable using mobile technology and onboard service software.

Preferred

- HVAC certification.
- Experience servicing propane and natural gas heating equipment.
- Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial gas systems.
- Experience mentoring apprentices or junior technicians.

Salary: $30.00 - $31.00 hourly (based on skills, experience, qualifications, and geography).
