Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Operations & Guest Experience

- Oversee and enhance the day-to-day operations of La Terrazza Restaurant, including the dining room, lounge, and room service, maintaining efficiency and profitability.
- Ensure La Terrazza's service standards and Steps of Service are consistently followed.
- Continuously prioritize guests' needs, provide memorable dining experiences that exceed expectations, and manage guest concerns and service recovery in a professional and timely manner.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and productive service and support menu planning initiatives.
- Oversee opening and closing procedures and ensure daily checklists are completed.
- Maintain a positive restaurant appearance and workplace by ensuring guest and staff areas are clean and organized and reporting maintenance issues.

Leadership & Staff Development

- Lead, coach, train, and develop the front-of-house team, providing ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and corrective discipline as required.
- Consistently provide a professional and positive example to staff and maintain a positive and productive team atmosphere.




- Assist with scheduling, staffing, payroll, and other administrative responsibilities.
- Maintain familiarity with, and train staff on, all safety, security, emergency, and WHMIS procedures.

Financial, POS & Inventory

- Maximize revenue while controlling expenses, with a focus on labour and other Food & Beverage costs.
- Maintain familiarity with all front-of-house LightSpeed POS functions and ensure POS, cash handling, discounts, voids, and other financial procedures are properly followed.
- Inventory and order required supplies to ensure smooth operations, including food, china, glassware, flatware, and other supplies.
- Follow established purchase order approval procedures.

Marketing & Promotions

- Dedicate no less than one hour per day to promotion and marketing.
- Maintain familiarity with Food & Beverage trends and actively promote products, services, and specialty events.
- Continually propose and implement new ideas for specialty events and opportunities for increasing revenue.

Department & Hotel Support

- Communicate effectively with the Food & Beverage leadership team and other hotel departments.
- Assist in other departments, including Catering and Crave Mountain Grill, as business dictates.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

- Minimum 3 years of Food & Beverage managerial experience required.
- Experience in high-volume or buffet-style operations considered a solid asset.
- Working knowledge of POS systems required (experience with Symphony POS an asset).
- Experience using 7shifts or similar scheduling platforms preferred.
- Solid financial acumen with proven ability to manage labor and costs.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications.




- Dynamic leader with strong organizational skills and passion for Food & Beverage.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and a team player.
- Food Safe, Pro Serve, and First Aid Certification required (Train the Trainer and Sommelier designation considered assets). Constant walking and standing throughout shift.
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
