Business is booming at JB's Power Centre South Edmonton (4605 Gateway Blvd), and we need another set of hands in the shop. We're looking for a 1st or 2nd year apprentice automotive mechanic — or someone with a background in automotive repair or 12-volt car audio/remote starter installation who wants to grow into a full mechanic role. You'll work directly alongside our Red Seal automotive mechanic, learning hands-on with real performance builds every day, and you'll be trained on the job to perform our 12-volt, lighting, and audio installation work.

What you'll be doing

Performance & mechanical installation:

- Diesel high-performance components
- Suspension lift & lowering kits
- Exhaust systems
- High-performance gas engine components
- Fuel systems (carburetor-to-EFI conversions, fuel system plumbing)
- Wheel & tire installations
- Engine and transmission swaps
- Turbo upgrades and supercharger installations
- Performance tuning
- Oil changes

12-volt, lighting & audio (on-the-job training provided):

- Remote car starter installations
- Car audio system installation and upgrades
- Auxiliary and off-road lighting installation and wiring
- General 12-volt electrical accessory work

You'll also take ownership of your repairs so every job is done right the first time, and keep vehicles clean and damage-free while they're in our care.

What we're looking for

- 1st or 2nd year apprentice automotive mechanic, OR experience in automotive repair, 12-volt car audio,



or remote starter installation with a genuine interest in learning both mechanical and 12-volt/lighting/audio work
- No prior 12-volt or audio experience required — full training provided on the job
- Must own your own tools (mandatory)
- Valid driver's license
- Comfortable following instructions and completing assigned tasks independently and as part of a team
- Computer literate
- Strong written and spoken English
- Willing to research and learn what you don't already know
- Able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Pride in your workmanship and attention to detail
- 1 year of automotive technician experience preferred, but not required

Schedule

8-hour day shifts, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends as needed (1-hour unpaid lunch break).

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
