Camp Cleaners & General Helpers

We are looking for people seeking a unique work/life balance of working a two weeks on and weeks off rotation. While in camp, you will work for 14 days straight, usually 10 - 12 hours per day. While there, you have free accommodations and meals.

Transport will be provided to camp to and from Thunder Bay.

Pay will be based on experience and and pending what responsibilities you are able to take on.

Tasks and Responsibilities Including:

- Meet daily with the Head Camp Attendant to discuss daily duties
- Complete daily bed counts
- Assist in making beds and cleaning all aspects of rooms weekly. This will include but is not limited to: emptying garbage cans, dusting, cleaning floors, mirrors, bathrooms, desks, closest and windows
- Keep an accurate record of bedding. Store linens properly and report any shortages to the Head Camp Attendant
- Clean and restocking of all linen, Kleenex, paper towel and toilet paper.
- Laundry as required. Ensure lint screen from dryers is cleaned after each cycleWash, scrub, clean, and sanitize designated kitchen and dining areas
- Clean kitchen and dining room floors and tables
- Clean refrigerators, ovens, and other kitchen equipment
- Wash pots, dishes, glasses, cups, etc., after each meal and as required
- Restock and rotate desserts, sandwiches, beverages, and condiments




- Assist in loading, unloading, and placing supplies and inventory
- Assist in making grab-and-go food items
- Clean and sanitize washrooms. This will include but is not limited to: showers, toilets, sinks, floors and mirrors
- Keep an inventory of all cleaning supplies to ensure there is an adequate stock
- Ensure all chemicals and cleaners are safely stored in proper storage containers and areas by complying with WHMIS and HSE guidelines
- Additional duties may be assigned

- Must have positive time management skills and the ability to multi-task
- Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written English

Physical Demands Requirements (Must be able to):

- Stand and squat for long periods of time with scheduled breaks
- Short and long distance walking required
- Use of step stools and stairs
- Use force when push/pulling carts that weigh an average of 22.5kg
- Must be able to crouch, bend neck, back, and torso from waist to floor, and must be able to twist from left to right without restriction
- Be able to lift up to 50lbs

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $225.00-$250.00 per day
