Class 3 / Class 5 Pressure Truck Operator

Nordic Energy Canada Corp. is currently seeking Class 3 and Class 5 Pressure Truck Operators to join our Production Services team in the Grande Prairie area.

We are looking for dependable, safety-focused individuals who are comfortable working independently in the field and take pride in their equipment and their work. Pressure truck and oilfield experience is an asset; however, we are willing to consider candidates with robust oilfield experience and the right attitude.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate pressure truck equipment in accordance with company, client and regulatory requirements
- Perform pressure truck services including fluid transfers, loading/unloading, line work, pressure operations and other production-related services
- Complete pre-trip, post-trip and required equipment inspections
- Complete FLHAs, field tickets, DVIRs and other required documentation accurately and on time
- Inspect hoses, fittings, valves, pumps and associated equipment before use
- Continuously monitor equipment and fluid transfers while operations are underway
- Follow site-specific procedures and client requirements
- Recognize changing conditions and exercise Stop Work Authority when required
- Immediately report equipment concerns, spills, incidents, near misses or unsafe conditions
- Maintain a clean, organized and professional truck
- Communicate effectively with Dispatch, Supervisors, Managers and client representatives
- Participate in company safety meetings, competency assessments and ongoing training
- Work outdoors in changing weather and field conditions throughout Northern Alberta

Qualifications

- Valid Class 3 or Class 5 Alberta Driver's Licence
- Acceptable commercial driver's abstract
- Previous oilfield or pressure truck experience considered an asset
- H2S Alive
- Standard First Aid




- CSO or equivalent orientation as required
- Ground Disturbance and other industry tickets considered assets
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to identify basic equipment issues
- Strong understanding of safe fluid handling and pressure-related hazards
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Strong communication and documentation skills

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will understand that operating a pressure truck requires more than simply driving the unit. Operators are expected to know their equipment, understand the job scope, properly inspect and test equipment before use, actively monitor operations, communicate concerns and stop the job when conditions are not safe.

We are looking for operators who take ownership of their work, communicate when something isn't right and understand that safety and equipment readiness come before production.
