Lube Technician

Are you passionate about vehicles and interested in building a career in the automotive trade? As a Lube Technician at FFUN Chevrolet Buick GMC Swan River, you’ll gain hands-on experience performing oil changes, routine maintenance and vehicle inspections while working alongside experienced automotive professionals.

For the right person, this role can be more than a job. Successful performance as a Lube Technician can lead to an Automotive Service Technician Apprenticeship, giving you the opportunity to continue developing your skills while working toward Journeyperson certification.

As a GM dealership, our apprentices may also have the chance to participate in GM’s Automotive Service Educational Program (ASEP), an accelerated training pathway combining technical education with hands-on dealership experience.

What you'll be doing:

- Perform oil changes, tire changes, and other shop duties as requested

- Inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary

- Complete vehicle inspections

- Generate estimates for repairs

- Ensure that the service department and shop is clean and presentable

- Assist technicians as required

What we're looking for:

- Must have a valid Class 5 Manitoba Driver’s License upon employment

- Must be reliable, punctual, and dependable

- Previous experience in automotive service or a strong interest in the industry.

- Interest in learning the automotive trade and developing your technical skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and pay attention to detail.

- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
