Commercial Cleaner – Early Mornings, Part Time 593 Cleaning | Courtenay, BC

About the Role: We are looking for a reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented person to perform cleaning at a commercial facility in Courtenay, BC. This is an independent job with a fixed early morning schedule — ideal for someone who is naturally an early riser or looking for additional income before their main shift.

Schedule: Monday to Sunday, 5:00 AM

- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday: approx. 1 hour 15 minutes (regular cleaning)
- Wednesday, Friday and Sunday: approx. 2 hours 20 minutes (deep cleaning)

Responsibilities: Regular Cleaning:

- Sweeping and mopping the facility and training areas
- Cleaning and disinfecting training surfaces
- Cleaning and changing the water at the hygiene station
- Cleaning bathroom and shower
- Cleaning shelving, protective surfaces and glass
- Washing mop heads

Deep Cleaning (additional):

- Machine washing of training surfaces
- Window cleaning
- Cleaning baseboards, ventilation grilles and air filters
- Spot cleaning of wall stains

Requirements:

- Punctuality and reliability — this is the most important requirement
- Ability to work independently
- Availability Monday to Sunday at 5:00 AM
- No previous experience required,

Compensation:

- $18.00/hr during the training period
- Upon completion of training: $18.00/hr + $4.00/hr quality bonus, evaluated by the client

Qualifications

- Previous custodial or commercial cleaning experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper safety procedures is a plus
