PCL Builders Inc. is currently hiring Carpenter Forepersons for projects located in Calgary Alberta and area.

Your Role:

As a Carpenter Foreperson in our Calgary District, you will:

- Lead crews through formwork, framing, rough carpentry, and finish carpentry scopes
- Collaborate with Superintendents and General Forepersons to plan daily tasks and priorities
- Own site safety: conduct hazard assessments, perform informal inspections, and ensure every team member goes home safe
- Develop and manage daily work plans to keep projects on schedule and under budget
- Enforce PCL’s quality and discipline standards, coaching crew members to excel in production and safety
- Facilitate coordination meetings with trades, office staff, and HSE professionals
- Track crew hours and submit accurate timecards using digital systems
- Train, mentor, and inspire your team to achieve continuous improvement and high morale

What You Will Bring to the Role:





- Journeyperson Carpenter certificate or equivalent field certification
- 1–3 years of progressive carpentry experience, including lead-hand or foreperson duties
- Strong blueprint-reading skills and comfort with construction specifications
- Hands-on experience with various formwork systems and finish carpentry
- Fluent trade-related math skills (area, volume, yield calculations)
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with digital scheduling and timekeeping tools preferred
