ABOUT THIS ROLE

Dominion Lending Centres (DLC), Canada’s leading national mortgage brokerage networks, is seeking a detail‑oriented and service‑driven professional to join our team as an Access Desk Mortgage Agent.

This role is ideal for someone looking to build or grow a career within the mortgage industry while gaining hands‑on exposure to underwriting, co‑brokerage operations, and lender relations. You will play a key role in supporting DLC’s Access Desk, ensuring mortgage files are accurate, compliant, and efficiently submitted to lender partners.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Access Desk Operations & File Support

- Assist in the daily operations of the DLC Access Desk, facilitating co‑brokered mortgage applications to lendersand across provinces
- Review mortgage files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance prior to submission
- Support the preparation and submission of mortgage applications to lender partners
- Maintain a strong sense of urgency to ensure timely processing of files

File Preparation & Documentation Review

- Organize and assemble mortgage documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Verify supporting documents such as income and employment confirmations, down payment sources, andproperty appraisals
- Identify missing, inconsistent, or unclear information and work with underwriters to resolve issues





Lender & Agent Support

- Build and maintain positive relationships between DLC and approved lender partners
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to DLC mortgage agents
- Act as a key point of contact for inquiries related to Access Desk submissions

Compliance & Skilled Standards

- Ensure all files meet internal policies and external regulatory requirements
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive client information
- Conduct all activities in accordance with ethical mortgage agent standards

Team Collaboration & Efficiency

- Work closely with internal teams to support efficient workflow and service delivery
- Track and prioritize multiple files in a deadline‑driven environment
- Contribute to continuous improvement of Access Desk processes

QUALIFICATIONS

Must Have

- Valid mortgage agent or broker licence (FSRA or BCFSA)
- Experience in the mortgage industry (brokerage, lender, or mortgage‑specific administrative support)
- Fluency in English (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manager multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Preferred

- Experience with mortgage documentation and underwriting processes
- Familiarity with lender and insurer guidelines
- Experience working in a brokerage or underwriting environment
- Experience in a mortgage brokerage or lending environment
- Experience using Velocity
- Post‑secondary education in business, finance, or a related field preferred

Licensing & Additional Conditions

- Maintain an active mortgage brokerage licence (e.g., FSRA/BCFSA or equivalent), where required
- Licensing and renewal costs may be covered by DLC during employment
- Ability to conduct personal mortgage business is negotiable, provided it does not interfere with employment responsibilities

COMPENSATION & CONDITIONS

- Full-time, permanent position
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (additional hours may be required during peak periods)
- Work environment: Hybrid
