Position Summary

The Cannabis Retail Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, leading a team committed to excellence, ensuring compliance and successful business operations. This role requires a agile leader with a passion for cannabis, customer service and management of day-to-day retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee all aspects of daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash management, sales and merchandising, recruitment and onboarding, team training and performance coaching, staff scheduling, inventory management, regulatory compliance and audits, store maintenance, and other operational priorities to ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant retail environment
- Successfully drive sales by analyzing core metrics to meet and exceed sales targets while ensuring business profitability; oversee inventory planning and product ordering by analyzing sales trends, product performance, and customer demand to ensure appropriate stock levels and minimize overstock or shortages; maintain up-to-date knowledge of brands, strains, and market trends; educate customers and implement strategic sales campaigns and promotions to increase revenue and profitability
- Ensure strict compliance with AGCO regulations, federal and provincial laws; adhere to company policies and procedures and employment standards to maintain a safe, compliant workplace
- Provides exceptional customer service by actively greeting and assisting customers, addressing inquiries and concerns, de-escalating and resolving issues,



building customer relationships and maintaining customer loyalty; utilize customer and client feedback to readily implement changes that improve customer experiences
- Ensure a high performing, productive work environment with positive constructive feedback and recognition to staff
- Ensure adequate levels of inventory maintained at all times, replenishing in a timely manner; perform regular inventory counts ensuring loss prevention
- Ensure accuracy of record keeping, cash handling, logging of defective products, receiving deliveries from wholesale suppliers; reporting any discrepancies
- Liase with LP Sales Representatives about new products, promotional items and Pop-up sessions
- Take full ownership and accountability of store success and profitability
- Additional duties and responsibilities as required

Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years of cannabis retail management experience required
- CannSell certification required
- Successful completion of pre-employment Criminal Record Check
- Must possess or be able to obtain Cannabis Retail Manager License
- Excellent knowledge of provincial and federal cannabis regulations
- Strong leadership, decision-making, time management, problem solving, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to train, motivate, and manage employees fostering a friendly productive work environment.
- Strong knowledge of cannabis plants and variety of strains
- Experience with point-of-sale systems, inventory management, and sales analysis
- Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends and holidays, overtime as required
- Valid G Driver’s license and vehicle in good working order

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
