Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join our dynamic warehouse team within the cooler environment. In this role, you will operate a counterbalance forklift to efficiently move, load, and unload goods, ensuring smooth warehouse operations. Your mechanical knowledge and experience with warehouse management systems will be essential in maintaining safety, accuracy, and productivity. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced distribution center while developing your skills in warehouse logistics and equipment handling.

Shift Information

- 6:00am to 3:00pm - Monday to Friday
- Pay: $21.00/hr
- Cooler environment with some area being freezer

Duties

- Safely operate a counterbalance forklift to transport pallets, crates, and other materials within the cooler area
- Load and unload trucks accurately using forklift and clamp truck equipment
- Perform order picking tasks with precision, ensuring correct items and quantities are prepared for shipment or storage
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records in real-time
- Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and other mechanical equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks when necessary, adhering to safety guidelines for manual handling




- Support warehouse distribution processes by organizing stock efficiently and maintaining a clean work workplace

Requirements

- Proven experience operating counterbalance forklifts in a warehouse or cooler environment
- Valid forklift certification with demonstrated mechanical knowledge of forklift operation and maintenance
- Familiarity with clamp trucks, order pickers, and other warehouse equipment
- Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and data entry
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively as part of daily duties
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) for order processing and inventory control
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Valuable communication skills to coordinate with team members effectively
