We are looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our growing team. This is an important support role within the practice. In addition to dental assisting responsibilities, this individual will help support our clinical and administrative teams, keep patient flow running smoothly, and step in wherever needed throughout the day.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of two years of dental assisting experience, is highly organized, enjoys working as part of a team, and is comfortable taking initiative in a busy dental environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Work alongside our primary Dental Assistant and clinical team to provide additional chairside and clinical support as needed.
- Help support the entire team throughout the day to keep the practice organized, efficient, and running on schedule.
- Assist with patient flow, room turnover, appointment preparation, and coordination between the clinical and administrative teams.
- Clean, disinfect, set up, and turn over dental operatories before and after patients according to practice protocols.




- Perform sterilization and proper handling of dental instruments while following infection control and safety guidelines.
- Provide clinical chairside assisting as required, including the proper use of dental instruments, materials, and procedures.
- Help ensure operatories and clinical areas are stocked, organized, and prepared for the day.
- Support the administrative team when needed to help maintain a seamless patient experience.
- Create a welcoming, professional, and compassionate environment for every patient.
- Communicate effectively with dentists, hygienists, assistants, and administrative team members.
- Take initiative and assist wherever needed to support the team and the overall success of the practice.

Qualifications

- Minimum two years of dental assisting experience required.
- Registered and/or certified as a Dental Assistant with the Ontario Dental Assisting Association.
- Certified Level II Dental Assistant preferred.
- HARP certification preferred.
- Strong clinical knowledge and confidence working in a busy dental environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Able to anticipate the needs of the clinical team and take initiative.
- Punctual, dependable, adaptable, and willing to help wherever needed.
- Positive attitude and a genuine team-player mentality.
