Treatment Coordinator / Dental Administrator
Location: Burlington, Ontario
Position: Full-Time
Hours: Full-time schedule, Monday through Saturday, including daytime hours, one evening per week, and one Saturday per month. Candidates must be flexible to work within the practice’s established schedule.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, personable, and highly organized Treatment Coordinator / Dental Administrator to join a well-established dental practice in Burlington.
The ideal candidate will have previous dental administration experience, strong knowledge of dental terminology and treatment processes, and excellent communication and patient-service skills. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships with patients, helping them understand their treatment options, and supporting them throughout their treatment journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Present and review treatment plans with patients in a clear, professional, and compassionate manner.
- Help patients understand treatment recommendations, timelines, fees, insurance estimates, and next steps.
- Follow up with patients regarding outstanding treatment and assist with treatment acceptance and scheduling.
- Coordinate appointments for comprehensive and multi-step treatment plans.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments.
- Process dental insurance claims, estimates, and predeterminations.
- Respond to patient questions regarding treatment, insurance, appointments, and accounts.
- Assist with payment collection and financial arrangements.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Support recall, reactivation, and treatment follow-up.
- Work closely with dentists, hygienists, assistants, and administrative team members to provide an exceptional patient experience.
- Assist with general front-desk and administrative responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
- Previous dental administration experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, treatment processes, and dental office procedures.
- Experience with dental insurance claims, estimates, and predeterminations.
- Comfortable discussing treatment plans, fees, insurance coverage, and financial arrangements with patients.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn dental practice management software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with robust attention to detail.
- Professional, dependable, friendly, and patient-focused.
- Ability to multitask and remain composed in a busy dental environment.
