Overview

Take ownership of quality from the production floor to the finished garment.

Sparkling Design Inc. is looking for an experienced and hands-on Quality Control Supervisor to independently oversee quality throughout our garment manufacturing process.

This is more than an inspection role. You will be our eyes on the production floor—proactively identifying quality concerns, investigating what is happening behind recurring defects, and working with Production to resolve issues before they affect finished products.

Duties

- Oversee quality throughout the garment manufacturing process, including cutting, sewing, assembly, finishing, and final inspection.
- Maintain a strong daily presence on the production floor and independently monitor workmanship and quality standards.
- Conduct in-line inspections and process audits to identify quality issues at an early stage.
- Identify sewing, construction, measurement, material, and finishing defects.
- Investigate recurring quality issues and determine root causes.
- Work with Production and sewing teams to implement practical corrective and preventive actions.
- Follow up to ensure identified quality issues have been properly corrected.
- Monitor quality trends and identify opportunities to reduce defects, rework, waste, and production delays.
- Provide technical guidance and direction to QC staff and production employees on quality requirements.




- Maintain quality records and provide management with clear updates on quality performance, recurring issues, and production-floor concerns.
- Escalate significant quality risks to management and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Support continuous improvement of quality standards, inspection procedures, and manufacturing processes.

Requirements

- 5+ years of garment manufacturing quality control experience, preferably in a senior, lead, or supervisory capacity.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction and the complete apparel manufacturing process.
- Hands-on knowledge of industrial sewing operations, including single-needle and serger/overlock processes.
- Strong ability to identify sewing, construction, measurement, workmanship, and finishing defects.
- Experience with in-line inspection, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Confident communicating quality concerns and providing direction to Production and QC teams.
- Independent, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of quality issues.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.
