Job Description

Canada Dry Cleaning and Alterations is looking for an experienced Dry Cleaning Presser / Ironer to join our team.

We are seeking someone who is skilled, reliable, and takes pride in producing professionally finished garments. The successful candidate should be comfortable pressing and finishing a wide variety of clothing and fabrics, including pants, jackets, dresses, skirts, shirts, blouses, coats, and other garments.

This position is ideal for someone with previous dry cleaning experience who can work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality.

Responsibilities

- Professionally press and finish a wide variety of garments
- Use commercial pressing equipment, steam irons, and hand-finishing techniques
- Work with different fabrics and garment types while following proper garment-care methods
- Inspect garments during the finishing process to ensure a clean, professional appearance
- Identify any stains, damage, or finishing issues that require additional attention
- Maintain consistent quality while working efficiently in a busy dry cleaning environment
- Handle customers' garments carefully and responsibly
- Keep the pressing and work area clean, organized, and safe




- Work cooperatively with other team members to complete daily production

Requirements

- Previous experience as a dry cleaning presser / ironer is strongly preferred
- Experience pressing a variety of garments, not only shirts
- Knowledge of different fabrics and appropriate pressing techniques
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Ability to stand for extended periods while working
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
