About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused Resident Care Aide to join our team. The successful candidate will provide personal care and daily support to residents while promoting their dignity, independence, comfort, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
- Provide assistance with mobility, transfers, and positioning as required.
- Support residents with meals, hydration, and other daily needs.
- Observe and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or behavioural condition to the appropriate supervisor.
- Provide companionship and encourage participation in activities and social programs.
- Maintain a clean, secure, and comfortable environment for residents.
- Follow individualized care plans and established policies and procedures.
- Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist with housekeeping and other resident-support duties as assigned.
- Work collaboratively with nursing, kitchen, recreation,



housekeeping, and other team members.
- Respect residents' privacy, dignity, choices, and confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a retirement home, long-term care, assisted living, home care, or similar setting is an asset.
- Personal Support Worker (PSW) certification or equivalent is preferred/required, depending on the position.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification is an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to resident care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position.

Pay: $18.25 per hour
