We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Interline Administrator to join our Team at our Edmonton Head Office!

This position is responsible for ensuring all interline accounts payable are monitored, reconciled and accurately recorded. Previous experience in transportation/freight specifically related to interline is required.
· Ensure all interline accounts payable invoices are processed for payment in an accurate and timely fashion.
· Develop and maintain a respectful and productive relationship with our interline partners.
General & Specific Responsibilities:
· Verify correct information on our billing, i.e. rates, weights, interline splits – including correct origin and destination information, tracing number if applicable, amending any erroneous information.
· Review statements ensuring all copies of invoices for payment have been received.
· Review and approve all rebilling, “A” pros, balance due pros for missed charges, including trailer manifesting and POD’ing.
· Review rates with rating department as required, including advice of any rate changes, i.e. F.S.C increases or decreases as received.
· Review incoming invoices for monthly payment, including manual entry of any invoices that were not been set up in initial probill entry.
· Review or when necessary, process monthly cheque run, including printing reports, arranging cheque exchanges and printing manual cheques as required.
· Audit and review interline queue invoices prior to billing for accuracy.
· Conduct necessary research and follow up on all adjustments received.
· Communicate with interline partners to receive approval for any changes in billing.
· Review/prepare appropriate adjustment documents for approval and processing.
· Handle customer requests for service and information in a timely manner.
· Observe all company rules, policies and procedures with regards to quality control, Occupational Health and Safety, etc.
· Perform all other duties as required.
Skills
- Must have professional communication both verbal and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs.
- High attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
- AS400 Computer System, Scanning and Imaging experience an asset.
Job Hazards:
- General office hazards occur with slipping, tripping, and falling
- Ergonomic hazards, arm, neck, back and shoulder strain occur with improper set up of workstation/computer.
- Long hours entering information into computer system on keyboard.
- Repetitive tasks
- Eye strain occurs with improper task lighting, or settings on computer screens
- Fire hazards can occur with electrical power cords, portable heaters, office, and general kitchen common areas.
