Position Summary

SkySys is seeking an experienced Senior Global HR Generalist to support the full employee lifecycle across our growing international workforce.

This role will have primary HR responsibility and expertise across the United States and Canada, with secondary support for the United Kingdom and other international locations where SkySys employs or engages workers through its own legal entities and Employer of Record (EOR) providers.

The Senior Global HR Generalist will serve as the primary HR subject-matter resource within Global Operations, partnering closely with the Global Operations Lead, Payroll, Finance, Service Delivery, Talent Management, external employment counsel, and EOR/local employment partners.

This is a hands-on role requiring solid employee relations judgment, employment documentation experience, knowledge of U.S. and Canadian employment practices, and the ability to navigate increasingly complex international workforce requirements.

Key Responsibilities

U.S. & Canada HR Management

- Serve as the primary HR resource supporting employees across the United States and Canada.
- Advise management on employment practices, policies, performance management, leave, accommodations, disciplinary matters and terminations.
- Support multi-state U.S. and multi-province Canadian employment requirements.
- Coordinate with local employment counsel when specialized legal guidance is required.
- Monitor changes in employment requirements and recommend appropriate policy or process updates.

Global HR Support

- Provide secondary HR support for employees in the United Kingdom and other countries where SkySys operates through its own entities.
- Coordinate employment matters for workers engaged through global EOR providers.
- Partner with EOR providers and local experts on country-specific employment requirements.
- Support matters involving local leave requirements, working hours, holidays, notice periods, employment changes and separations.
- Maintain country-specific HR documentation and escalation procedures.

Employee Lifecycle Management





- Support the complete employee lifecycle from offer acceptance through separation.
- Review and coordinate employment agreements, amendments, promotions, compensation changes, transfers and other employment documentation.
- Partner with Operations Coordinators on employee onboarding and offboarding.
- Ensure employee changes are accurately documented and communicated to Payroll and other applicable departments.
- Maintain accurate and complete employee records across applicable systems.

Employee Relations

- Serve as a senior point of contact for employee concerns and HR-related questions.
- Manage sensitive employee relations matters professionally and confidentially.
- Conduct or support workplace investigations.
- Assist management with performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions and corrective action documentation.
- Support sensitive involuntary terminations, reductions in force and other employment separations.
- Coach managers on employee communications, documentation and escalation procedures.

HR Policies & Compliance

- Develop, review and maintain HR policies, handbooks, templates and employee communications.
- Ensure policies appropriately address U.S. and Canadian requirements while coordinating localized policies where necessary.
- Maintain HR documentation standards and appropriate audit trails.
- Support workforce classification and employment compliance reviews.
- Coordinate with external counsel and EOR/local partners when jurisdiction-specific expertise is necessary.

EOR & International Employment Coordination

- Act as an HR liaison with EOR providers for international employees.
- Review EOR employment documentation and coordinate employee changes.
- Escalate employee relations matters involving EOR employees appropriately.




- Coordinate terminations and other sensitive employment actions with EOR providers.
- Help evaluate service quality and operational issues involving EOR partners.

Process Improvement & HR Operations

- Partner with the Global Operations Lead to standardize and improve HR processes.
- Develop HR SOPs, checklists, templates and escalation matrices.
- Identify opportunities for workflow automation and AI-assisted HR administration.
- Improve HR data quality and employee record management.
- Support implementation and optimization of HRIS and workforce management systems.

Cross-Functional Partnership

The role will work closely with Global Operations on workforce administration and employee lifecycle management; Payroll on compensation changes, leave, final pay and payroll-impacting employee actions; Service Delivery on performance matters and client-facing workforce issues; Talent Management on the transition from recruiting to employment; and external EOR providers, employment counsel and local HR partners on international requirements.

Qualifications

- 5–8+ years of progressive HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, Employee Relations or People Operations experience.
- Strong practical knowledge of U.S. employment practices, including multi-state employment.
- Meaningful experience supporting employees in Canada, preferably across multiple provinces.
- Experience with UK employment practices preferred.
- Experience supporting international employees through EOR providers strongly preferred.
- Experience working with employees across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing employee relations, investigations, performance management and sensitive terminations.
- Strong experience with employment agreements, policies, handbooks and HR documentation.
- Experience with platforms such as Rippling, Deel or similar HRIS/EOR systems preferred.
- Excellent written communication, judgment, discretion and organizational skills.
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced global environment while recognizing when local legal or specialist advice is required.
