Levitt-Safety is looking for a Field Service Technician in Labrador City to join our team.
If you enjoy working with your hands, troubleshooting mechanical equipment and learning how things work, this could be the opportunity for you.
No fire suppression experience required. We provide paid technical training and manufacturer certifications.
We’re looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, bilingual in French and English, and lives in Labrador City or the surrounding area.
What You’ll Do
You’ll work hands-on at customer sites, primarily in industrial environments, inspecting, servicing and maintaining vehicle fire suppression systems and other fire & life safety equipment.
Your day-to-day work will include:
- Inspecting, servicing and repairing vehicle fire suppression systems
- Performing preventative maintenance and system testing
- Troubleshooting mechanical components and equipment
- Completing inspections to ensure systems are operating safely and reliably
- Providing customers with clear recommendations and equipment training
- Completing service reports and documentation using mobile technology
- Working independently at customer sites while being supported by an experienced team
- Representing Levitt-Safety professionally and safely in the field
You’ll Be a Great Fit If You…
- Are mechanically inclined and enjoy hands-on work
- Have experience with vehicles, heavy equipment, fleet maintenance, industrial machinery, mechanical systems or similar equipment
- Enjoy troubleshooting and figuring out how things work
- Take pride in quality work and learning new skills
- Are comfortable working independently and interacting with customers
- Can use a smartphone, tablet or computer for service documentation
- Speak both French and English at a working level
- Live in Labrador City or the surrounding area
- Fire suppression or fire protection experience is an asset, but not required. We’ll train the right person.
What You’ll Need
- Robust mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn
- Valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record
- Bilingual French and English communication skills
- Ability to work safely in industrial environments
- Ability to successfully complete pre-employment requirements, including a drug and alcohol test for this safety-sensitive role
