We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Labourer to join our vineyard team. In this hands-on role, you will assist with a variety of essential tasks to support vineyard operations, ensuring the health and productivity of the grapevines. Duties
- Assist with planting, pruning, harvesting, and general vineyard maintenance activities
- Operate farm machinery and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks
- Support irrigation systems installation, repair, and monitoring to ensure optimal water distribution
- Use hand tools for soil preparation, trellising, and other vineyard infrastructure work
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment, irrigation lines, and vineyard conditions
- Perform heavy lifting of supplies, equipment, or harvested grapes as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to promote safety and efficiency
Requirements
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labour throughout the day
- Experience or familiarity with farm machinery, hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance tasks is preferred
- Knowledge of horticulture practices and irrigation systems is a plus
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely following proper procedures
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and willingness to learn current skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
