Job Overview

Under the direction of the Controller, the Accounts Payable Clerk will manage invoices ensuring accuracy in invoice coding and classification, as well as assist the controller in day-to-day financial tasks.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Verify, manage, and enter supplier invoices in Sage 50
- Reconcile and manage supplier billing accurately.
- Attend queries from management and suppliers.
- Interact with employees and vendors on various payable related matters to resolve issues.
- Check for accuracy in reports, figures, and postings.
- Perform other duties relevant to above as may be assigned from time to time.
- Keep accurate detailed records of purchases and payments.
- Create reports for supervisors and provide digital or paper copies of records when requested.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in accounts payable.
- Knowledge of accounting software such as Sage 50 or QBO is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) is a requirement.
- Clerical problem solving and mathematical abilities.

- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.

Summary

As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be integral to maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the administrative functions of the Finance Department. Reporting to the Controller, you will utilize core skills such as data entry, in Sage 50, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and provide knowledgeable service to ensure efficient operations. You will be joining a team of experienced individuals to grow a successful 50 years in business.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
