Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Casual Home Health Care Aide to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. Three times a day for 7 days, one hour each visit in Chestermere. This role offers versatile scheduling and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those recovering from illness or injury. As a vital member of our care team, you will deliver personalized assistance that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. Your energetic approach and caring nature will help create a positive environment for clients needing home care services.

Duties

- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing twice a week, dressing, grooming, and mobility support to enhance comfort and independence
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Administer medications accurately according to care plans and document all medication-related activities
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing to maintain a safe and tidy environment
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
- Support clients with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when required, ensuring safety at all times
- Follow care plans diligently, documenting observations,

Qualifications

- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospice care, or home care environments is highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those with dementia or other cognitive impairments
- Knowledge of patient care techniques and caregiving best practices
- Ability to perform light cleaning tasks efficiently and safely
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting clients with mobility needs
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Certification in caregiving or relevant training is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
