Avid is a fast-paced, rapidly growing insurance company, seeking a motivated & detail orientated individual to join our team as a full-time Junior Personal Lines Insurance Broker/Broker Assistant. This is an IN PERSON POSITION. Work must be completed at the physical location(s) . There is no option to work remotely.

Your primary focus will be to provide the highest quality of friendly, timely service, while developing and maintaining your book of business.

The duties you carry out will include but not be limited to the following responsibilities:

- Provide administrative support to brokers and management
- Greet, assist, and direct walk-in clients
- Answer telephone, transferring calls, taking, and forwarding messages
- Follow established office procedures, policies, and routines
- Liaising with prospects and clients on a regular basis,



responding to inquiries and requests in a timely & professional manner
- Risk and need assessments of clients
- Data entry to Power Broker management system, Applied and Powerhouse systems
- Data entry and transpose data to excel and multiple Insurance Company applications in a time sensitive manner
- Data entry of completed underwriting packages to Insurance Company portals
- Quote requests for new personal lines clients using portals and/or negotiating rates and terms with insurance markets, via our Cover Holder, Domestic Insurers and MGA’s
- Processing new business requests and actively engaging prospective clients
- Analyze client specific risk exposure and make appropriate coverage recommendations
- Account receivable collections for your clientelle
- Prepare renewals, re-market applications and endorsements
- Prepare and Issue Legal Certificates, such as pink slips, COI's
- Advise, and Assist Brokers of Insurer requests for additional information
- Arrange, co-ordinate and possibly attend meetings and appointments, etc.
- Answer and respond to email inquiries without the aid of AI - It is expected that only natural Human Intelligence will be used while interacting with clients and
- Other duties as may arise from time to time which may be assigned to this position

Position: Full-time/ permanent, 35-40hrs/week, possibly Saturdays for 5 or less hours

Shift: Day

Language: Clear, Concise Written and Spoken Canadian English

Education: College or other certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years

Mandatory Qualifications:

- CAIB Level 1 +

· Must have at least 1 years proven experience as an Insurance Broker in Western or Northern Canada. Candidates who have experience in YT,



NWT and NU will have a significant advantage over other applicants. Please include the year’s experience you have in in these specific jurisdictions in your cover letter.

- Must be able to work freely without being in breach of an existing Non-Competition Agreement.
- Proven competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently with limited to no supervision
- Exceptional English verbal and written communication skills and not reliant on IA
- Experience with Power Broker management software a beneficial asset
