About the Role

Uniform is seeking an experienced Service Coordinator to support our residential construction and new home warranty operations. Primarily based at our Carleton Place community, this field-based position is responsible for assessing homeowner concerns, making warranty determinations, preparing repair scopes, coordinating service work, and confirming that repairs have been completed satisfactorily.

The Service Coordinator reports to our Service Manager and will work closely with homeowners, service technicians, trade contractors, construction teams, and Uniform’s office-based service coordinator. The successful candidate will combine practical residential construction knowledge with sound judgment, strong organization, and professional homeowner communication.

This role does not involve performing repairs directly.

Key Responsibilities

- Meet with homeowners to review, assess, and document construction and warranty concerns.
- Investigate reported conditions and make warranty determinations based on applicable Tarion warranty requirements and Construction Performance Guidelines.
- Clearly communicate assessment findings, warranty decisions, proposed next steps, and repair timelines to homeowners.
- Manage items submitted through applicable Tarion warranty forms and ensure that required inspections, documentation, communication, and follow-up are completed within established timelines.
- Prepare clear repair scopes and coordinate the appropriate service technicians and trade contractors.
- Schedule and oversee service work with Uniform’s office-based service coordinator, following up with homeowners, technicians, and contractors until work is completed.




- Inspect completed repairs to confirm that the work is satisfactory before closing service items.
- Conduct Pre-Delivery Inspections with homeowners.
- Perform quality-control inspections of homes during construction and before possession, documenting deficiencies and coordinating corrective work.
- Identify recurring deficiencies or construction concerns and communicate findings to the Service Manager and construction team.
- Maintain complete and accurate service records, including inspection notes, photographs, work orders, and homeowner communications.
- Respond to urgent service matters and participate in the team’s rotating after-hours emergency on-call schedule.
- Travel to other Uniform communities as required and perform other related service and quality-control duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

- Minimum of three years of experience in residential construction, new home service, warranty, inspection, or a closely related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; construction-related post-secondary education or technical training is considered an asset.
- Practical knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, building systems, and common new home deficiencies.
- Experience with Tarion warranty processes and the Construction Performance Guidelines is a strong asset.
- Ability to assess construction concerns, determine likely causes, and develop appropriate repair scopes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical findings and warranty decisions clearly and manage sensitive homeowner conversations professionally.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple active service files, contractors, appointments, and deadlines.
- Sound judgment, attention to detail,



and a practical approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work independently in the field and collaborate effectively with the wider team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel. Experience with Punchlist Manager or similar construction service software is an asset.
- Valid driver’s licence and ability to operate a company vehicle.

Working Conditions

- Regular travel to occupied homes, active construction sites, and other Uniform communities.
- Inspections may include exterior areas, attics, ladders, unfinished spaces, and varying site and weather conditions; personal protective equipment must be worn when required.
- Standard working hours apply, with participation in a rotating after-hours emergency on-call schedule.

Compensation

- Annual salary of $58,000–$70,000, based on experience and qualifications, plus a potential annual bonus.
- Starting at two weeks of paid vacation.
- Participation in Uniform’s group health and dental plan following a three-month waiting period.
- Company-provided vehicle and phone allowance.
