Sr. Operations Manager

Location: Milton, Ontario

Salary: $80,000–$110,000 annually, plus car allowance and benefits

Our client is seeking an experienced Sr. Operations Manager to lead operations across multiple locations throughout south-central Ontario. Based in Milton, you will oversee 100+ employees, including supervisors, managers, AZ/DZ drivers, and warehouse associates, driving safety, service excellence, financial performance, and consistent execution across the region.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily regional transportation and warehouse operations, aligning staffing, fleet capacity, and service delivery with business priorities.

Hire, coach, and develop managers, supervisors, drivers, and warehouse teams, building accountability and a strong safety culture.

*
Manage operating budgets, labour costs, fleet utilization, and key performance indicators.

*
Oversee employee payroll, vendor payables, and owner operator invoice approvals.

*
Ensure customer service commitments are met and delivery scanning data is accurate.

*
Maintain compliance with transportation regulations and company standards.

*
Improve operational processes,



resolve challenges, and strengthen customer relationships.

Visit locations regularly to support teams, review performance, and implement improvements.

Qualifications

*
Progressive leadership experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet operations, including responsibility for multiple locations.

*
Proven success leading large operational teams and developing managers and supervisors.

*
Strong financial and business acumen, including budget management, cost control, and performance improvement.

*
Working knowledge of Ontario transportation regulations, CVOR, hours of service, and AZ/DZ fleet operations.

*
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

*
Robust communication, coaching, problem-solving, and change-management skills.

Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

*
Postsecondary education in business, operations, or logistics, or equivalent experience.

*
A valid driver’s license and availability for regular regional travel.
