Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Site Mechanic to join our team and ensure the optimal operation and maintenance of Underground Drilling Equipment, Drill rigs, and vehicle fleets (underground) across our site. This vital role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of equipment to keep operations running smoothly and safely. Responsibilities

- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on Drill Rigs (Cubex, Stopemate, Sandvik Air buggy's and other various underground equipment such as Toyotas to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools; identify root causes promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory to support ongoing operational needs.




- Collaborate with team members to diagnose electrical or hydraulic system issues on various types of equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols while performing heavy lifting, equipment operation, or repairs involving underground working conditions.

Requirements

- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in Drill equipment maintenance and repair.
- Possession of Heavy Equipment Mechanics license (421A)
- Underground experience required
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
- Skilled in welding, assembly work, and the use of hand tools and power tools for repairs.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to perform heavy lifting safely.
- Ability to Travel

Pay: $65.00-$69.00 per hour
