Are you an HR and Payroll professional who genuinely cares about people and also loves getting the details right?
We are looking for an HR & Payroll Administrator to join our team and play an important role in supporting employees and managers across our Canadian and U.S. operations.
This is a diverse role responsible for payroll, benefits, HR administration, safety administration, recruitment assistance, and employee support.

What You'll Do
Payroll Administration
- Process multiple Canadian and U.S. payrolls accurately and on time.
- Verify timecards and process payroll adjustments, deductions, commissions, and other payments.
- Complete payroll year-end requirements, including T4s and applicable U.S. year-end reporting.
- Respond to payroll questions and resolve discrepancies.
Benefits Administration
- Administer Canadian and U.S. employee benefit programs.
- Process enrollments, changes, terminations, claims, and benefit billings.
- Support annual benefit renewals and open enrollment.
HR Administration
- Process new hires, employee changes, terminations, and Records of Employment.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
- Manage documentation of company policies and procedures
- Administer HRIS and Time & Attendance software
Health & Safety
- Act as key administrative member of the Health & Safety Committee.
- Maintain safety records, manuals, statistics, training records, and other documentation.
- Coordinate WCB claims and support modified-work processes.
- Support COR requirements and audits.
- Coordinate safety training
Recruitment
- Support company managers with the recruitment process and onboarding for installation subcontractors
Employee Support
You'll be an significant point of contact for employees who have questions about payroll, benefits, HR processes, policies, and other workplace matters.
What We're Looking For
You are someone who:
- Enjoys helping people and is approachable, responsive, and genuinely caring
- Has at least 3 years of Canadian payroll & benefits administration experience.
- Has strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and Alberta Employment Standards.
- Holds a Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation or is actively working toward it.
- Has a working knowledge of U.S. payroll practices or is eager and capable of developing that knowledge.
- Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in getting things right.
- Is highly organized and comfortable managing multiple deadlines.
- Handles confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Has sound judgment and knows when an issue needs to be escalated or when professional advice is required.
- Is comfortable learning and working with multiple software systems
Additional Assets
- Experience with Payworks or ADP products.
- Experience administering U.S. benefits and/or 401(k) plans.
- Experience with I-9 and E-Verify processes.
- Experience with Health & Safety program administration.

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year

Experience:
- Canadian Payroll : 3 years (preferred)
