We are looking for a motivated Apprentice Automotive Technician to join our service team and continue developing their skills alongside experienced, licensed technicians.

This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, expand your technical knowledge, and build your automotive career in a supportive dealership workplace.

Responsibilities:

The following will be done under a licensed technician’s supervision:

Diagnostics & Inspection

- Review work orders and discuss required tasks with the supervisor or service advisor

- Inspect engines in operation, perform road tests, and use computerized diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify and isolate faults.

- Inspect and test mechanical components such as engines, transmissions, axles, and brake systems to locate malfunctions.

Repairs & Adjustments

- Adjust, repair, or replace components of major automotive systems, including fuel, brake, steering, suspension, engine, drivetrain, emissions, exhaust, cooling, climate control, electrical, and electronic systems using appropriate hand and specialty tools.

- Diagnose faults or malfunctions and confirm findings with the supervising technician to determine repair or replacement needs.

- Repair or replace defective mechanical units or components using hand and power tools.

Maintenance & Testing

- Perform scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes and routine inspections.

- Test repaired systems and components to ensure they meet manufacturer performance specifications.

Compliance, Safety & Certification





- Maintain all required valid licenses and certificates for the position, including (but not limited to) a Technician Certificate, Ozone Depletion Certificate, valid driver’s license, and WHMIS certification.

Qualifications

- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in a related trade, technical, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, or apprenticeship environment.

- Basic knowledge of industry tools, equipment, and safety procedures.

- High school diploma, GED, or relevant vocational/technical training preferred.

- Commitment to maintaining workplace safety and quality standards.

Schedule - Monday - Friday 8am-5pm

Location - 632 Pitt Street, Cornwall
