J&B; Auto Recyclers is looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined Automotive Parts Dismantler to join our team.

We are a family-owned and operated automotive recycling business that has been serving Windsor-Essex since 1975. We take pride in providing quality used auto parts and operating a clean, organized and professional automotive recycling facility.

This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys working on vehicles, understands automotive components and takes pride in doing the job properly.

What You'll Be Doing

As an Automotive Parts Dismantler, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently removing automotive parts from vehicles for resale and inventory.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Dismantling cars, trucks and SUVs
- Removing engines, transmissions, differentials and other drivetrain components
- Removing body parts, doors, bumpers, hoods, fenders, suspension components and other inventory
- Carefully removing parts to avoid unnecessary damage
- Inspecting parts during removal and identifying damage or quality concerns
- Working with our inventory and sales teams to ensure the correct parts are removed
- Properly tagging and organizing dismantled parts
- Using automotive lifts, hand tools, power tools and shop equipment
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Following company safety procedures
- Assisting with general yard and shop operations when required

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will be:

- Mechanically inclined with a valuable understanding of vehicles
- Experienced with automotive repair, dismantling or mechanical work
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools and automotive equipment




- Able to identify common automotive components
- Physically capable of performing a hands-on automotive position
- Reliable and punctual
- Organized and able to work efficiently
- Able to work independently while also being part of a team
- Careful with parts and committed to quality workmanship
- Willing to learn our dismantling, inventory and quality-control procedures

Automotive dismantling or mechanical experience is preferred, but we are willing to consider candidates with strong automotive knowledge and the right attitude.

Experience

Automotive repair, automotive dismantling, mechanical or related experience is preferred.
