No experience or education necessary. We are seeking a Bricklayer Helper to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will support skilled bricklayers by preparing materials , mixing mortar, moving tools and bricks and cleaning work areas, This position involves on the job training, requiring physical stamina for tasks like lifting and provide you the ability to gain experience and potentially advance in to a bricklaying apprenticeship. A requirement must be able to work at heights. We offer a pathway to certification through direct apprenticeship. Starting pay for Bricklayer helper is $23.00 per hour with no experience. For more experienced Masonry Helper this salary can reach as high as $30.00 per hour. Start a career and possibly become a Bricklayer as you move up through the positions with the ability to earn an annual income of $80,000.00 + per year.

Responsibilities

- Loading, unloading, transporting construction materials like brick, concrete blocks and stone to the worksite
- Mixing mortar, setting up scaffolding and preparing work areas by cleaning and removing debris.
- Participate with the work crew to ensure safety, quality and productivity.




- Holding tools and materials for the bricklayer ensuring they have everything they need
- Cleaning equipment, tools, and surfaces to maintain a secure and organized work environment.
- Assist with other tasks such as erecting and dismantling scaffolding, or operating simple equipment as directed.

Requirements

- No training, education or experience required.
- The role demands physical strength for heavy lifting and the ability to follow directions from experienced masons.
- A bricklayer helper role can serve as an entry point into the bricklaying trade with the opportunity to advance to an apprentice and eventually a skilled bricklayer .
- You might be able to work at high heights.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Follow all safety policies
