(Part-time Contract until March 31, 2026)

Catholic Crosscultural Services (CCS) is a settlement agency providing a wide range of services to immigrants and refugees regardless of race, religion or status.

We are searching for a part-time Youth Engagement Assistant to support the Newcomer Youth Career Connect Project through outreach, youth engagement, workshops, training activities, event coordination, program logistics, and administrative duties.

What you will be doing:

- Support the outreach and promotion of the Newcomer Youth Career Connect Project, engaging youth through community networks, schools, and partner organizations.

- Assist in planning, coordinating and implementing youth-focused excursions and community engagement events.

- Assist in organizing and supporting youth’ career development training sessions, including logistics, communication, and follow-up.

- Assist facilitation of training sessions and skill-building activities aimed at enhancing the confidence and career readiness of newcomer youth.

- Support the day-to-day operations of the program by preparing, organizing, and managing supplies and materials for youth activities.

- Provide administrative support as needed

- Maintain accurate project records,



including data collection and data entry.

- Attend required agency activities and meetings

- Perform other duties as assigned

What are we looking for?

- Currently enrolled or have completed secondary or post-secondary education, preferably in the areas of: Community Service, Child and Youth Services, Social Work
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills through school or community involvement
- Ability to work collaboratively with youth from diverse backgrounds
- Awareness of language barriers and cultural challenges, system barriers, faced by youth newcomers
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal; proficiency in the following languages is an asset: Spanish, Dari, Farsi and Tamil
- Proficiency with digital tools and social media (e.g., Canva, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Instagram)
- Strong organizational skills to support the planning and delivery of activities and programs

Location: 3660 Hurontario St 7th floor. Mississauga, ON, L5B 3C4

Compensation: $23.68 per hour

Hours of work: 185 hours until March 31, 2026, including evenings, weekends and occasional overtime is required. The number of hours per week is to be discussed with the manager.
