Nita Lake Lodge is looking for a full-time Bell/Valet Captain to join our Front Office team and lead the arrival and departure experience for our guests.

As one of the first and last points of contact at the Lodge, the Bell/Valet Captain plays an important role in setting the tone for an exceptional luxury guest experience. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands that luxury hospitality is found in the details — anticipating needs, creating genuine connections and delivering polished, personalized service that feels effortless.

What You’ll Do

- Lead the Bell and Valet team, setting the standard for warm, polished and personalized luxury service.
- Create seamless and highly personalized arrival and departure experiences for every guest.
- Anticipate guest needs and look for opportunities to turn everyday interactions into memorable experiences.
- Safely park and retrieve guest vehicles while overseeing the organization and flow of valet operations.
- Assist guests with luggage, room escorts, deliveries, amenities and special requests with care and discretion.
- Manage secure storage and retrieval of luggage and guest belongings.
- Coach, train and support Bell/Valet team members in luxury service standards, professional communication, guest engagement and attention to detail.
- Coordinate closely with Front Desk, Housekeeping and other departments to anticipate and respond to guest needs.
- Support hotel shuttle operations, ensuring safe, timely and professional service.
- Maintain impeccable presentation and organization of the hotel entrance, lobby, porte-cochère and Bell/Valet areas.
- Oversee seasonal guest amenities, including bikes, paddleboards and kayaks, ensuring they are presented and maintained to a high standard.




- Assist guests with skis, bikes and other seasonal equipment.
- Provide confident, thoughtful recommendations and act as an ambassador for Nita Lake Lodge and Whistler.
- Respond to guest concerns with urgency, empathy and ownership.
- Support Front Office leadership and other hotel operations during busy periods as required.

What We’re Looking For

- Previous hospitality or guest service experience, preferably within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
- Previous leadership, supervisory or team-lead experience is an asset.
- A genuine passion for luxury hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences.
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s Licence and a clean driving record.
- Confidence safely operating a variety of guest vehicles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A polished, professional and approachable presence.
- Exceptional attention to detail and an ability to anticipate guest needs.
- Strong organization, judgment and discretion.
- Ability to remain calm, composed and solutions-focused during busy arrival and departure periods.
- Knowledge of Whistler and the surrounding area is an asset.
- Full-time availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on position. You must be comfortable:

- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Working outdoors throughout Whistler’s changing seasons.
- Lifting and transporting luggage up to 40 lbs.




- Safely pushing and maneuvering luggage carts and equipment.
