Overview
This role is with a well-established food manufacturing facility in Cambridge, ON. You will be placed through our agency Mackenzie Personnel on a temporary basis with the potential for direct hire for the right candidate. The environment operates under strict GMP and food safety standards — attention to process and accuracy is non-negotiable from day one.
Day Shift 7:30am - 3:30pm -Mon to Fri
Afternoons 3:30pm - 11:30pm
Nights 11:30pm - 7:30pm
Standard shifts are provided but the client hires for all shift availability
Responsibilities
- Receive all inbound deliveries — verify counts, lot numbers, COAs, and inspect for damage
- Note discrepancies on bills of lading; record deliveries into receiving log and tag materials with correct product and lot info
- Load outbound product and warehouse returns; ensure pallets are scanned, tagged, wrapped, and packing slips generated
- Unload warehouse transfers and verify quantities against packing slips; flag any discrepancies
- Operate counterbalance forklift safely; complete daily pre-op checks and weekly equipment cleaning
- Repalletize damaged product as needed
- Support cycle counts and monthly inventory
- Maintain general cleanliness of dock, floors, trailers, and storage areas
- Adhere to GMP, Food Safety,
and Food Defense guidelines at all times
Requirements:
- Valid Ontario counterbalance forklift license /certification — required
- Proven experience in a shipping & receiving role
- Comfortable with computer data entry; training provided on internal systems
- Strong attention to detail — accuracy with counts, lot numbers, and documentation is critical
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; comfortable working in a food-safe, fast-paced environment
- Steel-toed boots required on Day 1
This role is vital in supporting our supply chain operations by ensuring timely delivery of quality products while maintaining a safe work environment. We welcome candidates with warehouse experience who are eager to contribute to a quick-paced team setting.
Pay: $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
