Position Overview

As a Customer Service Specialist, you will be the front line of both Med Supplies and Fit Essentials locations, supporting customers with medical supply needs and specialized fittings.

This role combines:

- Customer service
- Product expertise
- Clinical-style fittings
- Operational execution

You will work directly with clients requiring:

- Compression stockings (measurement & fitting)
- Mastectomy bras and breast forms (sensitive, precise fittings)
- General home healthcare products
- Mobility and daily living aids

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Care & Sales Execution

- Provide professional, empathetic service to all clients




- Understand needs quickly and recommend appropriate solutions
- Handle sensitive situations (post-surgery, chronic conditions) with care
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling where appropriate

2. Clinical Product Knowledge & Fittings

- Measure and fit clients for:
- Compression stockings (15–30 mmHg and above)
- Mastectomy bras and breast forms
- Educate clients on:
- Proper usage
- Fit accuracy
- Care and maintenance
- Build deep knowledge across:
- Mobility aids
- Orthopedic supports
- Incontinence and daily living products

3. Store Operations & Coordination

- Process orders, payments, and returns accurately
- Manage backorders and customer follow-ups
- Coordinate with:
- Therapists and healthcare professionals
- Vendors and reps for product support
- Maintain accurate records in POS and internal systems

4. Inventory & Merchandising

- Keep the store clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Maintain professional product displays
- Participate in inventory counts and stock control

5. Team Collaboration

- Work closely with team members across both locations
- Support smooth daily operations
- Communicate effectively to avoid service gaps

Qualifications

- Experience in medical supplies, healthcare, retail, or clinic setting preferred
- Strong communication and customer handling skills
- Ability to learn and apply technical product knowledge quickly
- Comfortable performing hands-on fittings with clients
- Experience with POS systems (Lightspeed preferred) and Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Bilingual is an asset

Working Conditions

- Work across Med Supplies and/or Fit Essentials locations
- May include weekend shifts
- Quick-paced, service-driven environment

Physical Requirements

- Lift up to 30 lbs
- Stand and move for extended periods
- Bend, reach, and assist clients during fittings
- Maintain fine motor skills for measurements and documentation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$26.98 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
