Right Choice Energy Services Inc. (RCESI) is currently accepting applications for a Health & Safety Coordinator to join our growing team based in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play an important role in supporting the execution and maintenance of our Health & Safety Program, policies, and procedures. This position will provide field and office safety support to management, supervisors, employees, and subcontractors and will help ensure compliance with applicable OH&S; legislation, client requirements, and RCESI’s Safety Management System.

The primary shift for this position is Monday to Friday from 7:00am-5:00pm. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and shift work may be required based on business needs. This position will work in our office, shop, and field environments and will require travel to various work sites throughout Southern Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Manitoba.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Promoting and supporting RCESI’s Health & Safety Program, policies, procedures, and Safety Management System while supporting management and supervisors in meeting company and client safety requirements
- Providing guidance to the OH&S; Committee and supporting and promoting RCESI’s fit-for-duty requirements and safety-sensitive workplace expectations
- Implementing and maintaining the company’s competency assessment program and monitoring employee safety training and certification requirements
- Preparing and delivering monthly safety meetings and supporting RCESI’s Behaviour-Based Safety program
- Tracking and reporting leading and lagging safety statistics and identifying opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation
- Supporting the employee hiring and orientation process, including safety orientations for employees and subcontractors
- Completing site visits, inspections, and audits to evaluate compliance with RCESI and client safety requirements and following up on deficiencies and corrective actions




- Assisting with incident investigations and supporting the implementation and follow-up of corrective actions
- Reviewing, updating, and developing Safe Work Procedures (SWPs), policies, and other safety documentation as required
- Scheduling and tracking equipment inspections to support Supervisors with preventative maintenance requirements
- Managing the inventory, ordering, and stocking of PPE and safety equipment
- Supporting COR, ISN, and other safety certification and prequalification requirements
- Attending client safety meetings, summits, and stand-downs as required, monitoring subcontractor safety requirements, and providing field safety support at project sites throughout Southern Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Manitoba
- Performing other duties as assigned

The successful candidate will be:

- Safety conscious and committed to maintaining a strong safety culture
- 2+ years of experience in a safety-focused role within the construction and/or oil & gas industry
- Demonstrated experience in hazard identification, risk assessment, inspections, corrective actions, safety documentation, reporting, and working with Health & Safety management systems
- Working toward, or holding, a CRSP designation
- Valid First Aid and H2S Alive certifications, or willingness to obtain prior to their start date
- OH&S; Level 1 & 2 training, or willingness to obtain
- Additional safety training such as PME, Fall Protection, Confined Space, Fire Safety, and Leadership for Safety Excellence would be considered an asset
- Basic understanding of multidisciplinary construction activities, including civil, structural, and piping
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong verbal and written communication, organizational,



and problem-solving skills
- Team-oriented, with the ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and work effectively with employees, supervisors, management, clients, and subcontractors
- Capable of working in office, shop, and field environments, including navigating various jobsite conditions and working in different weather conditions
- Willing to work overtime and weekends when required
- Willing to travel throughout Southern Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Manitoba
- Hold a valid driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract

This is a safety sensitive position. As a condition of employment, the successful candidate must successfully complete a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test. In addition, audiometric and lung function testing will be scheduled upon hire in accordance with applicable provincial regulations.
