We are looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Manager to lead our Talent Acquisition team and help shape how we attract, develop, and bring great people into Steele Auto Group.
Reporting to the VP of People and Culture, this is a unique opportunity to step into a well-established, highly collaborative team where everyone brings their own strengths, expertise, and perspective to the table. The team works closely together, shares knowledge, and supports one another, with a shared goal of continuously raising the bar for Talent Acquisition across the Group.
As the Talent Acquisition Manager, you will provide the leadership, direction, and strategic partnership to take that team even further. This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced recruitment professional who has directly managed and developed a team of at least three employees and has experience leading or supporting recruitment within an organization of 500+ employees.
You will work closely with senior leaders, hiring managers, and HR partners to understand workforce needs, solve complex recruitment challenges, build strong talent pipelines, and turn business priorities into practical hiring strategies.
What you will doing:
- Lead, coach, and develop the Talent Acquisition team, creating an environment built on collaboration, accountability, trust, and continuous growth.
- Develop recruitment strategies aligned with business goals, workforce planning,
and future talent needs.
- Partner with senior leaders, hiring managers, and HR to understand challenges and deliver effective hiring solutions.
- Build talent pipelines through community and school partnerships, referrals, skilled trades programs, and innovative sourcing strategies.
- Lead local recruitment initiatives for specialized and hard-to-fill roles.
- Use recruitment technology, data, and KPIs to improve time-to-fill, candidate quality, hiring experience, and retention.
- Champion skills-based hiring, consistent recruitment practices, and continuous improvement across the organization.
- Strengthen Steele’s employer brand and help position us as an employer of choice across Atlantic Canada.
What you bring to the role:
- 5+ years of progressive Talent Acquisition or Recruitment experience, including people leadership and recruitment strategy.
- Proven experience directly managing anddeveloping a team of 3+ employees.
- Experience leading or supporting recruitment within an organization of 500+ employees, preferably within a multi-location, high-volume, or complex environment.
- A proven ability to develop recruitment strategies and deliver measurable results.
- Strong communication, coaching, relationship-building, and stakeholder-management skills.
- A practical,
data-informed approach to recruitment and decision-making.
- Experience with skilled trades, high-volume, international, or specialized recruitment is an asset.
- International recruitment experience is an asset.
- The ability to work on-site at Steele Auto Group Head Office, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Term: 18 months, with the possibility of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Wage: Commensurate with knowledge, skills, and experience.
