Our client is a well-established private enterprise seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team and support both the day-to-day accounting operations and broader financial objectives of the organization. Location: Vancouver, BC
Expected Salary Range: $80,000 – 85,000 per year

Responsibilities:

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities across the organization
- Analyze financial results and provide insights to support business decisions
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury-related activities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and regulatory obligations
- Coordinate year-end audits and liaise with external auditors and advisors
- Monitor customer credit risk and support effective credit management practices
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiencies




- Collaborate with business leaders and mentor junior team members to support organizational goals
- Assist with additional projects, as required by Management

Requirements:

- Degree or Diploma in Accounting or Finance
- Canadian CPA designation is a mandatory requirement
- 5+ years experience in full-cycle accounting, including financial reporting and month-end processes
- Industry experience within international trade, commodities, import/export, distribution, or other globally-focused business environments is preferred
- Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory compliance, complemented by the ability to interpret financial data, identify key trends, and provide actionable insights to support decision-making
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite (specifically Excel), accounting systems and ERP platforms
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Exceptional ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple detail-oriented tasks with competing deadlines
- Have a strong capability to work independently and collaboratively with sound business judgment
