Job Summary

Join our vibrant used appliance store as a Part-Time Shop Manager and Appliance Cleaner! In this dynamic role, you will oversee the daily operations of the store, ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for customers. You’ll be responsible for cleaning, repairing, and testing used appliances to ensure they meet quality standards. As a shop manager, you’ll also coordinate customer service efforts, manage inventory, and support the team to deliver exceptional service. Duties

- Clean and thoroughly inspect used appliances to ensure they are in optimal condition for resale
- Perform basic repairs and troubleshooting on appliances using schematics and technical manuals
- Disassemble and reassemble appliances for cleaning or repair purposes, utilizing mechanical knowledge and assembly skills
- Test appliances for functionality, including electrical components and HVAC systems when applicable
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, cleaning procedures, and appliance conditions
- Assist customers with inquiries, providing excellent customer service and appliance advice




- Manage store organization by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the shop

Skills

- Strong electrical experience with the ability to interpret schematics and wiring diagrams
- Mechanical knowledge related to appliance components and systems such as HVAC or motors
- Proven experience in appliance repair or troubleshooting to diagnose issues accurately
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to read technical schematics and manuals effectively
- Assembly skills for putting together or disassembling appliances during cleaning or repairs
- Familiarity with safety protocols related to electrical work, appliance handling, and shop maintenance
