Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to meet quality standards while ensuring a safe and clean kitchen setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent food handling skills, and experience in a restaurant or food industry setting. Your contribution will help deliver delicious meals that delight our guests and support the smooth operation of our foodservice services.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook menu items following established recipes and quality standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients.
- Ensure proper food handling and storage practices to maintain safety and freshness.




- Support the team during busy service periods by maintaining efficiency in meal preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment sanitation.
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food safety and hygiene.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate meal production and service.

Experience

- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience working in a restaurant or similar fast-paced environment is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team to meet operational goals.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Hubley, NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
