About the Role

Mulu Jewelry is seeking a highly motivated, sales-driven Assistant Store Manager for our Scarborough Town Centre location.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can sell, lead, coach and take ownership of store performance. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the Store Manager to achieve sales targets, develop the sales team, maintain operational standards and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead by example through strong personal sales performance.
- Help achieve daily, weekly and monthly store sales targets.
- Coach and motivate Sales Associates to improve sales and KPIs.
- Monitor team performance and provide ongoing feedback and support.
- Drive customer appointments, client follow-ups and repeat business.
- Promote financing, custom jewelry, repairs and other Mulu services.
- Handle customer concerns and escalations professionally.
- Open and close the store and act as Manager on Duty when required.
- Oversee POS, cash handling and daily reconciliation procedures.
- Support inventory counts, transfers, audits and loss-prevention procedures.
- Ensure showcases, merchandising and store presentation meet Mulu standards.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are consistently followed.
- Identify sales opportunities and take initiative to improve store performance.
- Communicate sales, staffing and operational concerns to senior management.

- Sales per hour (SPH) and other KPIs
- Customer appointments and follow-ups

- Financing and custom-order opportunities

- Inventory accuracy and loss prevention
- Operational compliance

Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of retail sales experience preferred.
- Previous Assistant Manager, Supervisor or Key Holder experience preferred.
- Jewelry, luxury retail or high-ticket sales experience is a strong asset.
- Proven sales and closing ability.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills.
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
- Reliable, organized, accountable and results-oriented.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven workplace.
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
